Led by Otavio Cintra, Estúdio Urutu offers rooms with meticulous acoustic treatment and a high-quality hybrid setup, combining the best of modern music production with the analog equipment that has marked the history of audio and music. A space fully prepared for artists, producers, voice-over professionals, and content creators. All of this is located in the Historic Center, overlooking the cultural heart of the city of São Paulo.
Urutu features two interconnected recording rooms: the Front Room and the Back Room. The Front Room is dedicated to analog recordings, productions, and mixes, without the use of computers. At the center of this system is the Soundcraft Ghost console, with 24 channels connected to the rare Tascam ATR80 tape recorder. Here, music takes shape through the warm organicity of each channel, the natural compression of the 2-inch magnetic tape, and the unrepeatable spontaneity of a performance captured without digital edits or artifices.
, with 16 channels of analog preamplification and 8 digital channels using UNISON technology, exclusive to Universal Audio. Monitoring combines the clarity of Adam A7X speakers with the classic reference of Yamaha NS10s, accommodating different styles and preferences. Among the outboard gear are a pair of Empirical Labs Distressors, the exclusive Recoverb spring reverb from Recosynth, and the powerful SSL Fusion.
With the interconnection of the rooms via patchbay, it is possible to use both systems either simultaneously or individually, recording or mixing in a hybrid system, digitizing analog tracks, bouncing digital tracks to tape, and vice versa, offering a uniquely flexible workflow. The acoustic design was developed in partnership with Nemesis Audio, responsible for the DECORACS panels and the custom acoustic elements precisely installed on walls and ceilings. The studio features modern, hypoallergenic materials that provide a unique aesthetic, a comfortable environment, and an engaging, lively, and deep sonic experience. Our lounge offers a relaxing space for music and breaks between sessions; coffee is on the house.
